The Peak Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to furthering the legacy of educator
Peter Ewbank with acclaimed partners that benefit urban youth.
Our objective is to help young adults grow in sustainable, meaningful ways.
Peter Ewbank passed away after a sudden illness in 2015 days shy of his 26th birthday. The PEAK Foundation was launched in the aftermath of his death to continue Peter’s good work.
Had he lived, Peter would have inspired hundreds of more futures and shaped countless lives. We are proud to have continued in that spirit.
In 2022 alone, our funding and partnerships lifted hundreds of young adults across the western United States as follows:
20 campers earned 1.5 credits at the University of Colorado – Denver’s “Own-it” Junior Achievement entrepreneurship and business simulator summer session
Supplied 400 more dictionaries to Books To Prisoners – inmate literacy was a favorite cause of Peter’s – in response to inmate requests
What People Are Saying
We couldn’t do this without the PEAK Foundation, especially now as the world continues to be full of ups and downs.

Bold & Gold Outdoor Leadership Director
I saw beauty in nature that can’t be given a description. Everything else I’d seen before paled in comparison.
YMCA Bold & Gold Participant
I had an amazing time and got to learn a lot about start-up companies. I gained more confidence and appreciation for the business world and this program definitely motivated me to stick to my path.

Please extend our thanks to everyone at PEAK for the ongoing support. Not having to worry nearly as much about how to stock the empty dictionary shelf has been great!
